    In keeping with her family’s tradition, Lisa attended The University of Texas at Austin earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  Inspired by Dr. Jerold Jones to apply her education to HVAC design, she has always enjoyed the challenge of integrating MEP systems into architecture.  Her commitment to a collaborative design team approach results in functional AND beautiful projects.  As a LEED Accredited Professional she has a passion for energy efficiency and sustainable design.

    As a founding partner of CEG, Lisa relies on her strong faith to direct the way in which she conducts business.  She is committed to customer service, attention to detail and thrives on complex projects.

    When not working at CEG, she’s working at home baking delicious cakes, sewing or building things with her power tools.  Of course if its football season she will be watching the Longhorns!  Lisa has a son Sean and a daughter Shannon and lives in Clear Lake with her Labrador Retrievers, Bailey and Brandi.

  • Kristin Rickett

    Executive Vice President

    After working together for almost 20 years, a colleague and close friend, Lisa Osborne, invited Kristin to take a leap of faith and start a MEP firm and in June of 2010 Collaborative Engineering Group was born.

    Building upon her more than 25 years of administrative experience in the MEP Consulting Engineering industry, Kristin serves as the Chief Operations Officer focusing on Business Development and Client Relations. She oversees the day-to-day operations of CEG and builds, develops, and maintains relationships with clients. Utilizing her ability to recognize and understand business opportunities, she develops the firm’s business development strategies.

    Kristin is actively involved in the Women Business Enterprise Alliance, CoreNet and POWER (Professional Organization of Women Entrepreneurs Rising).

    Married to Ken with daughter Kendall, she resides in the Tomball area with their Golden Retrievers Sandy and Scout.  Outside of work, you will find Kristin with family and friends, traveling, loving life and enjoying a nice bottle of wine.

  • Andy Solberg, PE LEED-AP

    Vice President of Engineering

    A Rice University graduate with two degrees – Mechanical Engineering and Physics – Andy coordinates all engineering disciplines for CEG as Vice President of Engineering.  He brings over twenty years of experience in the MEP industry on a large variety of projects with particular expertise in healthcare and laboratory systems.  Andy’s mission is to provide the highest quality documentation through purposeful coordination among all disciplines and implementation of a rigorous quality control process.  He is a member of ASHRAE, ASPE, HAAHE and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  

    Andy is an avid player of games.  He plays a lot of cards and enjoys losing money at poker; winning is also acceptable.  He organizes an annual board game convention at Rice that benefits Houston area charities.  He also enjoys driving around Texas, and he takes a picture of every historical marker he passes.  Andy's two children are now old enough that he can devote more of his time to spoiling two tiny and loud-mouthed dogs.

  • Javier Loredo, PE

    Senior Project Manager

    Javier is an accomplished electrical engineer but actually got his start in a different field. Receiving an Associates degree in Electronics Technology, he began his career, but quickly realized his passion for electrical engineering. He accepted his first electrical engineering job in 2000 and has gone on to specialize in highly technical healthcare projects. Javier is a hard working early bird, usually arriving at the office by 5:30 AM! He enjoys the critical system aspects of the projects he works on, and clients praise his organization and attention to detail. 

     Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Javier moved to Texas at a young age. He and his beautiful wife (a Texas Children’s Hospital nurse) can be found on the weekends watching their daughter play volleyball and their son play baseball. Javier tries to squeeze in a run, bike ride or a game of sand volleyball whenever possible. He loves sports and is a fan of all of the Houston teams but especially his beloved Astros. Go Stros! 

  • Tim Rocha

    Senior Project Manager

    Tim has achieved high accolades over his 35 year career. His determination and rock solid work ethic helped Tim get his start and still drive him today. Straight out of high school, he secured a job as a mechanical draftsman, and running and delivering prints (blue prints – remember those?). He transitioned to electrical design after five months and despite doubts and being told he couldn’t succeed on a Texas Children’s Hospital lab project, he completed the project with flying colors and never looked back. Fifteen years later, Tim did another 8 years designing mechanical systems before transitioning to project management.  He specializes in the planning, design and implementation of projects, is a proficient communicator and problem solver, and a valued senior member and leader of the CEG team. A natural leader and our office cheerleader, he freely shares his knowledge with colleagues and is passionate about keeping our clients happy and coming back.

    A native Houstonian, Tim enjoys traveling and camping with his family, riding his bike around Houston trails, and cooking (hamburgers and crawfish boils are his specialties). Tim’s love language is coming up with various nicknames for his friends and colleagues. A little known fact about him is that he is color blind (so you know Mrs. Rocha dresses him). He has two mini chihuahuas (he claims belong to only his wife, but we know he secretly loves them too!).

  • Kevin Schmidt, PE LEED-AP

    Electrical Department Director

    With 19 years of experience, Kevin joined CEG as the Electrical Department Director.  Kevin graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. He was drawn to his electrical engineering classes, so he started his engineering career in electrical design and never looked back.  Kevin has worked on a variety of projects including healthcare, laboratory, government facilities, commercial, data centers, light industrial, and office projects. Kevin is a meticulous engineer whose attention to detail is unrivaled. He strives to provide our clients with the highest quality work and takes pride in everything he puts his hand to. 

    Kevin is an avid cyclist and runner. He has completed 14 MS 150 bike rides and hopes to complete his 15th ride soon. He also enjoys woodworking and DIY home projects. His largest project to date is renovating his master bathroom in which he took down to the studs and remodeled the entire space. Kevin lives in Katy with his wife, 3 kids, and his dog.

  • Kenny George

    Master Plumber/Plumbing Department Manager

    Kenny George is a licensed Master Plumber with a medical gas endorsement and joined CEG as the Plumbing Department Manager. With over 30 years' experience including owning and operating a commercial plumbing contracting business, Kenny uses his knowledge of how systems are assembled to design plumbing systems that not only work but can be efficiently and cost effectively installed in the field. He has designed projects for Industrial, Medical, Retail, Financial Institutions, Educational, Laboratory, Assisted Living, Student Housing and Restaurants.

    Married Renee when both were only 17, they have been happily married for 35 years and reside in Spring, Texas.  They have 3 children - Kenny Jr, Angela, and Chad, and 9 precious grandkids (5 boys and 4 girls). When time and weather permit, you will find Kenny in the woods camping and enjoying the outdoors.

  • Whitney Carow, EIT, LEED AP BD+C

    Whitney Carow specializes in energy modeling for MEP systems and is as passionate as you will find about all things sustainable. She considers it a privilege and a priority to respect and steward the earth’s natural resources. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Renewable Energy from the Colorado School of Mines, Whitney quickly obtained her LEED AP BD+C after graduation.  After joining CEG to lead our sustainable initiatives, Whitney’s enthusiasm for our sustainable projects is spreading throughout our team.  

    On the weekends, Whitney can be found rolling out her yoga mat, having fun on the sand volleyball court, or relaxing with a good book. She lives in Pearland with her husband Peter and their energetic dog Iggy.

  • David Cho

    When David Cho completed his Associates Degree, he came to CEG seeking to gain experience - he even offered to work for free!  Starting as a blank slate he has flourished into an essential component of the CEG Team!

    Eager to become a proficient Electrical Designer, David is currently under the tutelage of the expert engineers in the Electrical Department.  He also serves as the BIM manager developing company project standards and continuously enhancing productivity. When he’s feeling ambitious and adventurous, he will even take on mechanical and plumbing design. He’s often referred to as CEG’s Swiss Army knife.

    David loves to play and watch basketball and football, but his friends and family are second to none.  Although he’s quiet most of the time, David keeps the office on their toes with his subtle sense of humor.

  • Scott Clark

    "In three words I can sum up everything I have learned in life: it goes on." - Robert Frost

    Scott grew up in Houston’s Spring Branch area and his first job was working in a foundry melting steel at 3,000 degrees until he decided there had to be a better way to make a living. To this day, he still sports scars from that job, and is thankful he accepted an electrical designer position from a neighbor almost 20 years ago on a whim. Scott is enthusiastic about what he does and finds fulfillment in the challenging projects he is tasked with. Focusing on all things electrical, power, and distribution, Scott is king of the details and has developed a specialty in data center work.  

    Scott married his beloved wife in Vegas 19 years ago (With Elvis in attendance), and their free time is mostly spent in bleachers watching their high school age son Brady play tournament baseball. Scott (AKA Clark Griswold) is known for his annual Christmas light displays at his house, proudly utilizing six dedicated circuits and three timers. His family has five dogs - three of them are rescues. Dynamite is his favorite whom he lovingly administers insulin to every night, but don’t let Hollywood, Macy, Brie or Maggie hear that - they all are pretty sure they’re Scott’s favorite. 

  • Josh Eberle, EIT

    Josh, a native Floridian, attended the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.   After interning in Houston during  college, he decided Texas was the place to be!  Josh has quickly demonstrated his aptitude for mechanical systems and has worked on a variety of project types including high and mid- rise office buildings, tenant build-out, K-12 schools, fire stations, assisted living facilities, laboratories and manufacturing facilities.

    Newlywed to his college sweetheart Sarah, Josh enjoys cooking and grilling. He is an avid runner and tennis player and enjoys cheering on his  beloved Chicago Bears.   He is also a Dream Team Leader at Revive Church in Montrose.  Josh’s favorite thing about Texas is the friendly people and the food.  What he misses the most about Florida is friends and family and the only gators he misses are the Florida Gators!

  • Juana Garcia, EIT

    “Hook’em Horns!”

    Juana Garcia, Mechanical EIT, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (chosen because of her love of architecture and her amazing math and science skills). After completing an internship with CEG in 2012, she decided to change her technical electives from structural to HVAC design.  Juana has worked on renovation projects with difficult existing conditions and buildings that do not meet current codes. She has also been part of new construction projects where she was in charge of calculating building loads, selecting equipment, and distributing air throughout the building. 

    Juana loves music festivals and travels across the country to attend.  She also loves watching reruns of the King of Queens and traveling with friends and family.

  • Kenny George Jr.

    Kenny George Jr. has over 18 years of experience designing and managing the construction of plumbing systems. He understands the codes related to, and the intricacies involved with, plumbing installation. While he has worked on numerous projects over the years, his favorite is St. Helen’s, the first job he designed.  

    When he’s not behind a computer or at a job site, Kenny enjoys visiting the Houston Zoo and attending sporting events.

  • Ashley Gray, PE

    Inspired by her grandfather, an Aggie mechanical engineer Ashley received her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. While attending A&M, Ashley was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority where she held the position of Risk Management and also Rho Gamma.  After graduation, Ashely returned to her hometown of Houston where she started her professional career in commissioning. Ashley enjoys commissioning complex projects such as data centers, control rooms, and central plants. Here at CEG, Ashley is utilizing her commissioning background to aid her in designing intricate mechanical systems. She is known around the office for her hard work ethic, attention to detail, and appetite for challenging projects.  

    Ashley is an avid runner and has completed 2 marathons and over 25 half-marathons. When she’s not out training with her running club, Ashley can be found with Molly, her 5lb Yorkie. Molly loves getting dressed up, but her favorite is her Aggie dress.  Another favorite activity is her annual “Girls Trip” with her mom and grandmother to New York City for after Christmas sales, fabulous food and great entertainment.

  • George Henningsen

    Born and raised in Arkansas, George moved to Houston in 1975. He started as a cabinet maker when his hand lettering got noticed by a local MEP firm. George was hired on as a draftsman, but through tenacity and grit he quickly became an electrical designer.  George has over 37 years of experience in the MEP industry. To this day, he still gets a great sense of satisfaction from a job well done. His easy-going nature and level headedness makes George an exceptional collaborator with the other disciplines in the office, clients, and owners. While lighting and fire alarm are George’s specialty, his extensive industry experience means he’s a great resource for all things electrical.

    In true engineering fashion, George loves tinkering around his house. He recently used his woodworking skills to make all of the cabinets for his bathroom remodel. His skills extend beyond woodworking, to bicycle construction. George designs and constructs his own bicycles. He enjoys cycling and has completed the MS150 seven times. George has been married to his loving wife, Donna, for 37 years. They love to travel together. Their favorite destination has been South Africa!

  • Wade Hubble, PE

    Wade has continued his family’s legacy of working in the electrical industry. He is a fourth generation electrician and worked as such while earning his degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.  As a Master Electrician, his engineering designs reflect the experience he gained in the field.  Wade uses both his field experience and education to mentor young engineers and designers. He is always up for a challenge and even used YouTube to learn Revit. As CEG’s very first employee, Wade has served in multiple roles including IT, maintenance, and sometimes even receptionist!

    Wade is a busy guy living in Conroe with his wife, teenage daughter and young son.  His family enjoys boating and watching Aggie football!  He also loves riding his Harley and working on his trucks.

  • Mike Jimenez

    With over 17 years of mechanical design experience, Mike brings valuable knowledge and skills to Collaborative Engineering Group. Mike’s passion is for health care projects. He enjoys the complexity of specialized applications and the unique codes. Technically minded and proficient in Revit, Mike uses his skills to focus in on the details of a project and work through complex problems. 

    Mike has always had a love of mechanics and enjoys getting his hands dirty. On the weekends, he can be found in his garage working on cars or at a friend’s house helping with a home renovation. His true passion though is volunteering with his church. It brings him great joy and satisfaction to share his faith and help others in his community.

  • James Lee

    James is an energetic and driven mechanical engineer.  In his over 30 year career, he has designed many complicated and challenging projects including healthcare facilities, laboratories, data centers and central plants.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Technology from the University of Houston.  Proficient in both energy modeling and Revit, James uses these skills to design state of the art mechanical systems.  His attention to detail and creative problem solving helps him to deliver quality projects that exceed client expectations.  

    To relax and maintain a healthy life balance, James practices Tai Chi.  Another hobby is building vintage model airplanes and armory.  James was born in Hong Kong and relocated to Houston in the mid 1970’s.  He and his wife have two grown children – a future pharmacist and future physician. 

  • Glen Mallory

    Glen is a lively and hard-working senior plumbing designer. He understands the importance of communicating with the client and other disciplines on a project, and he prides himself on his attention to detail. In his 16 years of experience, Glen has designed health care, laboratories, higher education, and multi-use buildings.  His advanced skill set helped him become an ASPE Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD). Glen is an active member of ASPE and helps our office stay current on plumbing design codes and standards.  

    Glen grew up in the Brazosport area, but has lived in Houston for over 20 years. In his downtime you can find him running, hiking, or biking on one of Houston’s many trails. He’s an outdoor enthusiast who also enjoys vacationing in Rocky Mountain National Park and Lake Tahoe. When he’s not exploring the great outdoors, Glen loves jamming out on his guitar!

  • Ramón Montaño, EIT, LEED AP BD+C

    Ramón got into the MEP construction world through an encouraging high school teacher who helped him get a job as an electrician. After spending 6 years as an electrician and earning his Master Electrician license, he went on to get his Bachelor’s while continuing to work as an electrician) and then his Master’s in electrical engineering from the University of Houston. Ramón uses his extensive field experience and education to design state of the art electrical systems. He prides himself on his perseverance and enjoys working on complex projects such as natatoriums, auditoriums, and large kitchens. Ramón is an active member of IEEE.  

    Always eager to give back to his community, Ramón spends most of his time outside of work as a professor of engineering at San Jacinto Community College and as a lead mentor with the Galena Park ACE location, an architecture construction engineering program for high school students. In between work and volunteering, Ramón loves to do anything outdoors from fishing to hunting and kayaking or mountain biking.

  • Al Ovalle

    Al comes to CEG with 18 years of mechanical design experience. He got his start in the MEP world as a building engineer. Now, he uses his hands-on knowledge of building systems to design sensible and smart mechanical systems. Always eager to collaborate with others and tackle design challenges, Al has worked on a large variety of projects including commercial offices, healthcare and educational facilities. While mechanical design is his specialty, Al’s extensive field experience means he can be depended upon to help with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing especially during construction. 

     Like a true Texan, Al can be found hanging out with his BBQ team on the weekends cooking up some brisket. He also enjoys relaxing by the lake with his wife of 18 years, his daughter, 2 dogs, 5 turtles, and parrot Charlie - although lately Charlie has to stay home because he talks too much!

  • Mike McPeak

    Mike began his career designing mechanical and plumbing systems over twenty years ago (back when he had hair).  He has quickly established himself as a dependable and creative asset to the company.  Mike’s knowledge and experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems benefits the overall project and helps to produce a fully coordinated design.

    As an ordained deacon, Mike believes that a solid foundation of faith is what successful businesses and families are based on. Mike is married to Sandra and has twin boys, Ryder and Tristan.  When not working,  he enjoys defensive firearms training, hunting and raising his sons to treat their mother like a queen.

  • Cedric Raven, LC

    With over 30 years of work experience under his belt, Cedric is a go-to resource for design – particularly for theaters, sporting venues, higher education and school facilities. His background includes power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, and fire alarm design.

    Cedric keeps busy away from work managing his rental properties and is very active in his church as a trustee.  He lives in Spring with his beautiful wife and daughter.   Back in 2010 and 2011, he completed the Houston Marathon, but today is enjoying a more relaxing hobby in deer hunting - even if he has to get up early to do it!

  • Kaycee Sandoval

    Kaycee’s adventurous spirit led her to Houston from her home town of Wichita Falls, Texas almost 10 years ago.    She prides herself on being the entertainment for the office and never passes up a chance to make others laugh.  When she is being serious, she is responsible for coordinating the clerical and administrative aspects of each engineering project in order to ensure smooth execution.  Her exceptional organizational skills (and occasional nagging) keep the team focused and on track to meet our deadlines. 

    Kaycee is currently working on her Bachelor of Science in Retailing and Consumer Science at the University of Houston with a minor in Marketing.  Kaycee and her husband Josh enjoy their weekly Friday date night, cocktails, and spending time with their precocious furry four-legged “son” Baxter. 

  • Taylor Thoms

    Taylor recently graduated from Mississippi State with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. At school, she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and worked with the MSU Alumni Association. After a summer of interning with an MEP firm in Mississippi, Taylor discovered she loved HVAC design. She enjoys using her technical skills and critical thinking to create sophisticated mechanical systems. 

    After graduating, Taylor decided she was ready for a change and wanted to try big city living in Houston. She loves that there's always something going on in the city and the amazing food Houston has to offer. When she's not off exploring her new home, you can find Taylor curled up on the couch with a good book or binging on the latest Netflix show.

  • Wendy Vinca

    "Happiness isn’t something you get from life, it’s something you bring to it." - My Dad

    Wendy Vinca received an Associates of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stark State College of Technology and  continued her studies at University of Akron in electrical engineering.  Early in her career, she focused on industrial automation applying her expertise to improve efficiency and processes at Delphi Automotive in Michigan.  An Ohio native, she got to Texas just as fast as she could!  Landing in Dallas, she continued to apply her automation skills until the arrival of her son.   Through a chance social meeting, Wendy moved into the MEP industry starting as a construction administrator. Always eager to expand her knowledge and expertise, Wendy took as many classes as she could in design software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD and Revit, leading to her current position as BIM Manager and electrical designer.  She is the go-to expert for 3D modeling and BIM coordination for all projects.

     In her free time you might find her painting, playing tennis, or spending time with her children and grandson.

  • Yasmin Yusri, EIT

    Yasmin Yusri came to us eager to learn about MEP building design.  She is a recent grad from The University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  Her skills in math made engineering an obvious choice but she has always had a love of art.  Yasmin is excited about the challenge of marrying the two and looks forward to integrating creativity into her designs.  She will be applying her knowledge of fluid mechanics to designing plumbing and fire protection. 

     Yasmin is an avid gamer and enjoys an occasional game of flag football.  When she’s not going on spontaneous trips with friends, you’ll find her at home relaxing with her cat Gigi.  Yasmin has been taking art classes since she was 11 and is currently perfecting her calligraphy and water color skills.
