Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

The College of Osteopathic Medicine is a 107,000 square foot facility constructed on an auxiliary site less than fifty miles from the SHSU main campus. The 4-story facility houses instructional spaces intended to support students’ first two years of pre-clinical instruction, research, academic programs, and student life include a teaching theater, a large active learning classroom, case-based learning team rooms, a gross anatomy lab, skills lab, and standardized patient and simulation suites. Graduates of the school of medicine will play a role in emphasizing wellness through health promotion and disease prevention by integrating the patient into the healthcare process as a partner.
Page provided the architectural, mechanical and electrical design while partnering with CEG to provide pre-planning and development of the plumbing and fire protection systems to support SHSU’s facility vision.
The plumbing systems include sanitary waste/vent, acid waste system, domestic cold, domestic hot with circulation, softened water, reverse osmosis water, natural gas, medical air, medical vacuum, and laboratory air.
