The Fort Bend County Caleb Rule Public Safety Annex, named in honor of fallen officer Caleb Rule, is a new 16,800 SF, single-level patrol facility serving the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. The development includes concrete parking areas, a helicopter landing pad, fuel station, and supporting site improvements.
The building program includes offices, conference rooms, locker rooms with showers, a briefing room, and a secure holding area to support daily patrol operations. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems were designed to meet the operational demands of a public safety facility while maintaining energy-efficient performance. Lighting and controls comply with current energy codes through the use of occupancy sensors and daylighting controls. The HVAC system utilizes a split-DX VAV configuration with series fan-powered terminal units to provide zoning and occupant comfort.
