Houstonian Hotel,
The Houstonian Hotel, Club, and Spa Renovation in Houston, Texas represents a significant transformation of a 185,000 SF facility located on a 27-acre wooded property. As part of the club’s 40th anniversary celebration, a $70 million renovation was carried out in three phases, upgrading the club’s amenities and guest rooms to provide an enhanced, luxury experience.
This renovation included 280 newly renovated guest rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling views of the surrounding woods, creating a serene and peaceful environment for guests. The Houstonian Club itself is a hub of wellness, offering diverse amenities including indoor and outdoor tennis courts, aquatic programs, a resort pool with rockslide, sports lap pool, and a quiet garden pool. Guests have access to over 300 fitness equipment pieces, group exercise studios, a private yoga studio with aerial silks, a cycle studio, and a basketball court.
The crown jewel of the renovation is the Trellis Spa, now the largest luxury spa in Texas, spanning 26,500 SF. The spa offers a range of treatments in spaces that evoke nature-inspired hues, including a grand reception area, renovated treatment rooms, a Reflection Pool, and serene lounge areas.
With Huitt Zollars as the architect, the renovation was completed in October 2022, with a project budget of $23.5 million, solidifying the Houstonian's reputation as a premier destination for relaxation and wellness.
The Woodlands First Baptist Church
The Woodlands First Baptist Church underwent a major renovation and expansion, including a sanctuary upgrade, 23,000 SF of new classroom space, a 10,000 SF Great Hall, and a 450-car, 4-level parking garage. The sanctuary’s seating capacity doubled to 1,200, while the Great Hall was designed as a central hub for social events, conferences, and gatherings, featuring Texas Hill Country-style architecture. Completed in 2015 by Studio Red Architects, this $12.2 million project enhances the church’s ability to serve its growing congregation.

The East Aldine District’s new 23,300 SF office building serves as a hub for community operations and law enforcement. Located at East Aldine Town Center Park, it features six lease spaces and is surrounded by an amphitheater, playground, splash pad, and scenic water features. Lush landscaping and pedestrian-friendly design enhance accessibility and community engagement.

Lott Hall, a historic 8,742 SF venue, now offers luxurious event spaces for up to 250 guests. Renovated by CEG, the venue features catering prep areas, bridal and vendor spaces, and a grand porte-cochère. Upgrades include modern MEP systems, energy-efficient lighting, and a VRF HVAC system, ensuring comfort and sustainability.

The Mehta Foundation Headquarters is a 15,000 SF office building featuring a central gathering space with high ceilings and clerestory windows. Completed in 2015, it is a functional and brand-integrated space for the electrical engineering and construction company.

The Alief Neighborhood Center is a 71,551 SF LEED-certified facility in Alief Park, housing Health and Human Services, Parks and Recreation, and the Hennington-Alief Regional Library. The $52 million center includes a WIC office, multipurpose rooms, fitness areas, sports fields, an art garden, and an outdoor pool, making it Houston’s first multi-service facility of its kind.
