Lakewood Church, a global landmark and one of the largest churches in the world, underwent a historic renovation in 2005 to transform the former Compaq Center into its new home. Lisa Osborne, before founding CEG, served as engineer of record for mechanical and plumbing systems and played a pivotal role as Project Manager for this extensive redevelopment.
The project required complex MEP solutions to accommodate thousands of worshippers, multiple event spaces, and broadcast capabilities. Due to this successful collaboration, Lakewood Church continues to consult CEG for its ongoing MEP needs, ensuring the facility remains a premier destination for worship and community outreach. Designed by Studio Red Architects, this renovation stands as a testament to innovative engineering solutions in large-scale adaptive reuse projects.
