The Lee College Nursing School Renovation has transformed its training facilities to provide cutting-edge, hands-on learning experiences for nursing students. The upgraded space includes three new skills labs equipped with 30 patient beds, allowing students to refine their clinical techniques in a realistic environment.
At the heart of the renovation is the high-fidelity simulation center, designed to replicate real-world medical scenarios. This state-of-the-art training hub features five specialized rooms, including a pediatric room, two adult medical-surgical rooms, a critical care room, and a maternity suite. These immersive spaces enable students to develop critical thinking and decision-making skills through scenario-based learning.
Additionally, the project introduced three larger-capacity classrooms with advanced technology integration and computer-based testing capabilities, ensuring students have access to modern educational tools.
Designed by Kirksey and completed in August 2022, this $1.58 million renovation represents Lee College’s commitment to training highly skilled nurses through an innovative and supportive learning environment.
