The Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is a state-of-the-art, 107,000 SF facility constructed on an auxiliary site less than 50 miles from SHSU’s main campus. This four-story building is designed to facilitate pre-clinical instruction, research, and student life for future osteopathic physicians.
The facility features a teaching theater, a large active learning classroom, case-based learning team rooms, a gross anatomy lab, a skills lab, and simulation suites to provide students with immersive, hands-on medical training. The school’s mission is to emphasize wellness, disease prevention, and patient-centered care, preparing graduates to become integral healthcare providers.
Page provided architectural, mechanical, and electrical design, while CEG collaborated on pre-planning and development of the plumbing and fire protection systems. The complex infrastructure includes sanitary waste/vent, acid waste, domestic cold and hot water, softened water, reverse osmosis water, natural gas, medical air, medical vacuum, and laboratory air systems—all essential for a cutting-edge medical training environment.
