Science & Technology Building
The Science & Technology Building at Lamar University is a cutting-edge, 83,000 SF facility designed to advance education and research in science, technology, and engineering. As the first new academic building constructed on campus in 40 years, it serves as a cornerstone for undergraduate and graduate innovation.
The building includes:
- Seven instructional labs for hands-on learning.
- 14 research labs focused on biology, chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, computation, and engineering.
- A large maker space lab visible from an upper-level project instruction room.
- A specialized innovation space for interdisciplinary research on energy, sustainability, medical devices, and global health.
- A freestanding, state-of-the-art greenhouse and adjacent pollinator garden for research and instruction.
To support this new facility, the project also included an expansion of the Central Plant, adding:
- A new 800-ton water-cooled chiller.
- Chilled water pumps for efficient climate control.
- New electrical switchgear to power the HVAC system and Science & Technology Building.
The new building, along with the Central Plant expansion, marks a major step forward in Lamar University's commitment to scientific research and education.
East Aldine District Office Building
The East Aldine District’s new 23,300 SF office building serves as a hub for community operations and law enforcement. Located at East Aldine Town Center Park, it features six lease spaces and is surrounded by an amphitheater, playground, splash pad, and scenic water features. Lush landscaping and pedestrian-friendly design enhance accessibility and community engagement.

Lott Hall at Hermann Park
Lott Hall, a historic 8,742 SF venue, now offers luxurious event spaces for up to 250 guests. Renovated by CEG, the venue features catering prep areas, bridal and vendor spaces, and a grand porte-cochère. Upgrades include modern MEP systems, energy-efficient lighting, and a VRF HVAC system, ensuring comfort and sustainability.

Mehta Foundation
The Mehta Foundation Headquarters is a 15,000 SF office building featuring a central gathering space with high ceilings and clerestory windows. Its semi-circular conference room is a key architectural highlight. Designed by Studio Red Architects and completed in 2013, the building reflects the foundation’s vision for collaboration and impact.

MetroNational Treehouse
The MetroNational Treehouse is a 15,000 SF commercial office designed for collaboration and sustainability. The first floor offers restaurant lease space, while the second floor serves as a workspace and event venue. A double LEED Platinum-certified building, it features a vegetated roof, solar panels, geothermal heating/cooling, and a wind turbine, making it one of Houston’s greenest buildings.

Parc Binz is a 60,800 SF mixed-use development located between Hermann Park and the Museum District. It features ground-level restaurants and four floors of office space, along with an 80,655 SF parking garage for 198 cars. Completed in 2014, it offers a convenient, dynamic space for both businesses and visitors.

Walker Engineering Corporate Headquarters
Walker Engineering’s Corporate Headquarters is a 30,000 SF facility in northwest Houston, featuring office space, warehouse storage, and modern infrastructure like driveways, parking lots, and an entry court. The design incorporates sculpted electrical conduit in public areas, reflecting the company’s brand. Completed in 2015, it is a functional and brand-integrated space for the electrical engineering and construction company.

Alief Neighborhood Center
The Alief Neighborhood Center is a 71,551 SF LEED-certified facility in Alief Park, housing Health and Human Services, Parks and Recreation, and the Hennington-Alief Regional Library. The $52 million center includes a WIC office, multipurpose rooms, fitness areas, sports fields, an art garden, and an outdoor pool, making it Houston’s first multi-service facility of its kind.

The Westin Houston Medical Center is a 382,000 SF redevelopment of the historic Medical Towers in the Texas Medical Center.
