CEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design for the transformation of 2,611 SF of shell space on the 12th floor of the Texas Children's Hospital Feigin Center into a cutting-edge Immunology Lab. The facility is designed to support high-level research and lab operations with advanced infrastructure and efficient spatial planning.
Key features of the Level 12 Immunology Lab include:
- A main lab capable of accommodating 15-20 personnel.
- A sorting room with direct access to the cell culture area, designed for multiple technicians to work simultaneously.
- Liquid nitrogen storage positioned above an alcove area for safety and accessibility.
- Dedicated freezer and fridge storage along the main corridor to ensure optimal preservation of biological materials.
- Shared office space, workstations, and an enclosed office designed to accommodate 4-6 people, separate from the main lab environment.
Designed by FKP, this project was completed in 2019 with a project budget of $3,098,000.
The Woodlands First Baptist Church
The Woodlands First Baptist Church underwent a major renovation and expansion, including a sanctuary upgrade, 23,000 SF of new classroom space, a 10,000 SF Great Hall, and a 450-car, 4-level parking garage. The sanctuary’s seating capacity doubled to 1,200, while the Great Hall was designed as a central hub for social events, conferences, and gatherings, featuring Texas Hill Country-style architecture. Completed in 2015 by Studio Red Architects, this $12.2 million project enhances the church’s ability to serve its growing congregation.

The East Aldine District’s new 23,300 SF office building serves as a hub for community operations and law enforcement. Located at East Aldine Town Center Park, it features six lease spaces and is surrounded by an amphitheater, playground, splash pad, and scenic water features. Lush landscaping and pedestrian-friendly design enhance accessibility and community engagement.

Lott Hall at Hermann Park
Lott Hall, a historic 8,742 SF venue, now offers luxurious event spaces for up to 250 guests. Renovated by CEG, the venue features catering prep areas, bridal and vendor spaces, and a grand porte-cochère. Upgrades include modern MEP systems, energy-efficient lighting, and a VRF HVAC system, ensuring comfort and sustainability.

The Mehta Foundation Headquarters is a 15,000 SF office building featuring a central gathering space with high ceilings and clerestory windows. Its semi-circular conference room is a key architectural highlight. Designed by Studio Red Architects and completed in 2013, the building reflects the foundation’s vision for collaboration and impact.

The design incorporates sculpted electrical conduit in public areas, reflecting the company’s brand. Completed in 2015, it is a functional and brand-integrated space for the electrical engineering and construction company.

Alief Neighborhood Center
The Alief Neighborhood Center is a 71,551 SF LEED-certified facility in Alief Park, housing Health and Human Services, Parks and Recreation, and the Hennington-Alief Regional Library. The $52 million center includes a WIC office, multipurpose rooms, fitness areas, sports fields, an art garden, and an outdoor pool, making it Houston’s first multi-service facility of its kind.
