The renovation and expansion of The Woodlands First Baptist Church included comprehensive upgrades to the existing sanctuary, educational buildings, and multi-purpose spaces, along with the addition of a new Great Hall and a 4-level, 450-car parking structure. The project doubled sanctuary seating capacity to 1,200 and converted a former gymnasium into 23,000 SF of new classroom space. A 10,000 SF centralized Great Hall was added to serve as a primary gathering space for worship, social events, and large assemblies, creating a central connection point between the sanctuary, educational areas, and structured parking.
Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems were upgraded and expanded to support increased occupancy, large assembly loads, and campus-wide operational demands. The project required careful coordination and phased implementation to maintain ongoing church operations throughout construction.
