The 717-seat Van Cliburn Concert Hall at Texas Christian University is a two-story, 61,000 SF performance and instructional facility serving the School of Music. Designed with an acoustical volume comparable to significantly larger venues, the hall provides an intimate yet acoustically robust performance environment.
The building includes a dedicated concert hall structure acoustically isolated within the larger facility, along with a band rehearsal room, orchestra rehearsal room, percussion suites, instructional spaces, and faculty studios. Materials and building systems were carefully coordinated to support acoustical performance, vibration control, and environmental stability throughout.
The facility achieved LEED Gold certification, reflecting its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable design. The project provides a purpose-built environment for music education, rehearsal, and performance while supporting long-term operational efficiency and flexibility.
