Built in 1936 and designated a historical landmark, the La Colombe d’Or Hotel is undergoing a $10M restoration to enhance guest experiences while preserving its historic character. Collaborative Engineering Group is modernizing the infrastructure, seamlessly integrating new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while maintaining the mansion’s original architectural details.
The first floor of the mansion will serve as the hotel’s reception area, featuring a refined living room, coffee and libations bar, and expanded full-service restaurant and bar. A grand central staircase leads to the second-floor suites, ranging from 470 to 721 SF, each receiving upgraded soft-good materials, lighting, bathrooms, and personalized climate control.
This renovation ensures that La Colombe d’Or remains a Houston icon, preserving its historic elegance while offering guests modern luxury.
