The Episcopal High School Crain Galloway Center for the Arts is a comprehensive 50,400 SF facility that combines both renovation and new construction to serve as a hub for the school’s diverse arts programs. The project thoughtfully integrates spaces for 2D and 3D studio arts, photography, film, broadcast journalism, theater, dance, and music, creating a dynamic environment that nurtures creativity and collaboration. A key addition is the new Visual and Performing Arts Center, which will add over 20,000 SF of classroom, performance, and studio space, featuring the latest digital animation, theatrical, music, and broadcast technology. This facility will include purpose-built spaces for each discipline, such as a 280 seat black box theater perfect for experimental and intimate performances, rehearsal rooms for music ensembles and percussion, multiple studio areas for various art forms, and faculty offices to support instruction and mentorship.
Designed to foster cross-curricular collaboration, this state of the art complex aims to elevate the arts experience for students, providing modern, well-equipped spaces to develop their talents and showcase their work.
