The Episcopal High School Student Center in Bellaire, Houston, was constructed to support the school’s growth, providing a dedicated space for over 800 students to gather for a variety of activities. This project is part of a major renovation of the school’s 35-acre campus, which involved the demolition of the existing Underwood Student Center and Alkek Gym.
The Student Center features a wide range of spaces designed to meet diverse student needs. Highlights include a 500-seat dining hall, spaces for art exhibits, theater, STEM learning, maker spaces, and study areas, as well as faculty offices. A coffee shop serves as an additional amenity for both students and faculty.
A large public plaza connects the Student Center to the Trotter Academic Building and Hildebrand Athletic Center, fostering a collaborative and interactive environment across the campus. The renovation also included updating the existing servery and kitchen to better serve the expanded facility’s needs.
This facility marks a significant step in enhancing the educational and social experiences of the students at Episcopal High School.
