After occupying its Rice Village location at 2540 Times Boulevard since 1982, Main Street Theater underwent a comprehensive renovation and building systems modernization. The 5,700 SF facility received new energy-efficient storefront glazing along with complete replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
The renovation reconfigured and upgraded infrastructure to support contemporary performance requirements while improving occupant comfort and energy efficiency. Systems were designed to accommodate theatrical lighting and power demands, enhance ventilation and humidity control for audience and stage areas, and provide reliable life safety performance within the constraints of the existing structure. The result is a modernized performance venue that supports both artists and patrons while extending the operational life of the facility.
