The St. Agnes Academy Student Life Center is a $19 million, phased project that adds 50,000 SF of new space designed to enrich the student experience and accommodate the growing demands of the school’s performing arts and athletics programs. Located in Houston, Texas, the project features a multi-use performing arts center designed for theater, choir, and orchestral performances, and includes classrooms for the expanding communications program, office spaces for athletics, and a dedicated dance hall.
A key element of the renovation was the transformation of the original 1962 auditorium, which was converted into a light-filled space for informal student gatherings and study. The existing auditorium stage was also repurposed as a performing arts classroom and black box performance space, enhancing the school’s arts facilities.
This expansion also required significant infrastructure upgrades, including the installation of roof-mounted chillers, a new primary/secondary chilled water distribution system, and modifications to electrical services and fire water infrastructure, ensuring the facility’s ability to support future growth and enhanced operations.
