Project Budget$19,000,000
This phased project included 50,000 SF of new construction featuring a multi-use performing arts center designed to accommodate theater, choir, and orchestral performances. The addition also provides classrooms for an expanding communications program, athletics department offices, and a dedicated dance hall.
The original 1962 auditorium was renovated into an open student gathering and study space, and the former stage area was converted into a performing arts classroom and black box theater.
The new construction required significant infrastructure upgrades, including modernization of the existing chilled water plant. Grade-mounted air-cooled chillers were replaced with roof-mounted units to preserve ground-level expansion capacity, and the chilled water system was reconfigured to a primary/secondary pumping arrangement. Electrical service modifications and fire water infrastructure improvements were also implemented to support the expanded campus load.
